On November 25, on the program Mera me Chroma broadcast on ERT3 television, the organization SHE – Society for Help & Empowerment was invited to take part in a special feature dedicated to the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

The outstanding journalists Klelia Klountzou in the studio, and Elsa Poimenidou and Christina Topouzi in the field reports, approached the major social issue of gender-based violence with great sensitivity. The co-founders of SHE, Kiki Aravidou and Eleni Stavropoulou, also had the opportunity to briefly present SupportforChange, a project focused on training professionals and members of civil society through free online seminars and experiential in-person workshops.

The aim of the project is to foster empathy and a deeper understanding of the emotions and needs of survivors of gender-based violence, in order to prevent secondary victimization.

“The project (project name) is implemented under the project ‘POWER – Promoting Organizations' empoWErment to guarantee women’s human Rights and stop gender violence’, which aims to empower Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Italy, Greece, and Spain to protect, promote, and secure wide recognition of the fundamental rights of women and femininities, and to address gender-based violence. POWER is co-funded by the European Union through the ‘Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values Programme’ (CERV – 2023 – DAPHNE), and is coordinated by WeWorld (WW), in partnership with ActionAid Hellas (AAH) and Asociación Bienestar y Desarrollo (ABD).”

“Funded by the European Union.
